About Leslie Cannold

Dr Leslie Cannold is Head of Programs at Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership. Dr Cannold has a PhD in Education (Melbourne) and a Masters in Bioethics (Monash), where she studied under and later worked for Professor Peter Singer. In her research fellow role at the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics, Dr Cannold pioneered the role of “public ethicist,” engaging audiences with real world ethical dilemmas in regular columns in the Fairfax Press, as a regular guest on ABC Radio Melbourne and Radio Sydney, and on ABC TV’s Q & A and Moral Compass, and Ten’s The Project. She currently provides analysis and opinion about ethics and democracy for Crikey.
