See our Publishing Guidelines.\nDear Editor,\nAustralia is so very old,\nThe people from there too.\nSixty thousand years I\u2019m told,\nJust hundreds for the new.\n&nbsp;\nThe problems caused twixt new and old\nHave never near made good,\nAlways trying white man\u2019s mould,\nWith no success and never could.\n&nbsp;\nTop-down force to make things right\nWas always bound to fail.\nFor years we have not seen the light,\nOur woeful endless tale.\n&nbsp;\nWith \u2018The Statement from the Heart\u2019,\nAt last, a chance to heal.\nA civilised future now can start.\nAll seek a fairer deal.\u00a0\n&nbsp;\nWe\u2019ll have \u2018The Voice\u2019 to hear from all,\nBrainstorming from all sides.\nFirst Nation\u2019s leaders; hear their call.\nAt last, we can be wise.\n&nbsp;\nA \u2018Treaty\u2019, fair, long overdue.\n\u2018Truth-telling\u2019 managed too.\nJustice now for all to view.\n\u2018Terra Nullius\u2019 to undo.\n&nbsp;\nAs Australians, we will be\nOn a path that\u2019s been denied.\nChampions of \u2018fair go\u2019 are we,\nTogether on one side.\n&nbsp;\nTony Krins\n&nbsp;\nDealing with nonsense\nDear Editor,\nIt will be apparent, if you read on, that I spend (waste?) too much time on TV and the internet.
